For her first major solo exhibition, Madalena has moved her entire studio from Anjos 70 to [A]SPACE. We are presented with a vibrant dialogue, between the structural forms of the post-pandemic city and the organic throws, all living things cohabiting here.
Madalena Pequito is a multidisciplinary artist, born in Lisbon, in 1996. She is currently doing an MA at Central Saint Martins, London. Previously, she specialized in scenography and costumes and graduated in Painting at Lisbon Fine Art Faculty.
In 2018, Madalena has participated in Macao's 1st International Biennial exhibition, in 2019, she has received an honorable mention at the Jovarte Biennial of Loures and in 2020 she has been selected for Retirement Call Art Prize.
